On 20 March 2018, within the project “Creation of an Overarching Framework for NAMAs and MRV in Viet Nam” funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the Viet Nam Institute of Meteorolgy, Hydrology and Climate Change (IMHEN) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development under the the Ministry of Industry and Trade are jointly organizing the 2nd consultation workshop on Energy Efficiency NAMA in Textile sector to introduce this initiative and discuss the ways to involve key stakeholders in the NAMA implementation in Ha Noi.
Objectives of the consultation workshop:
- Present key elements of the Textile NAMA initiative/design to relevant stakeholders: rationale, selected technology, estimation of GHG emission, financing options, policy instruments and key conclusions;
- Discuss with participants on the key elements of the NAMA, especially estimated GHG emission, financing options and policy instruments;
- Collect inputs and views from relevant stakeholders on proposed policy and financing instruments to support the NAMA implementation
- Continue the involvement of relevant stakeholders in the design, implementation and rolling out the proposed solution
